Driving revenue, alignment, and innovation at the intersection of marketing, technology, and customer success
Background
I have many years of experience in Marketing (and Marketing-adjacent activities). I started as a Journalism major at Northwestern University, then transferred to Washington University in St. Louis to pursue a Business degree at the Olin Business School. Alas, I was corrupted by books. Ultimately, I received a Minor in Business Administration and a Major in Literature. I loved reading so much that I completed a Master's in Literature at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I began writing about music while at college, and continued to do so over the next 15 years for several local and national publications (Riverfront Times, Austin American-Statesman, Venus Zine, etc.). Lured by the siren song of warm weather and more fun, I packed up my cat and moved to Austin, TX, where I currently reside.
An experienced builder and leader of marketing teams, I am well-versed in developing strategic branding, communications, and lead-generation initiatives. I enjoy developing corporate processes and working across multiple departments to manage projects, develop and maintain budgets, and plan events.

I am a music nerd and taco aficionado who loves dogs (and donkeys, as you can see).

Experience
I currently serve as the Senior Corporate Marketing Manager for ESC Spectrum, a company dedicated to helping companies comply with air emissions regulations. The company provides SaaS, SaaP, hardware, and services to plants across the U.S. in various industries, including power, refining/petrochem, pulp and paper, metal production, pharmaceuticals, and more.

I started the Marketing team from scratch in 2020. I hired a team of professionals, developed a new vision and strategy to drive rebranding, debuted a new website and blog, produced a learning management system for both customers and external users, developed GTM and operational processes, and more.

Our team focuses on growth, lead generation, and customer retention.
American Innovations provides cathodic protection compliance solutions, including SaaS, SaaP, hardware, and services for the oil and gas industry.
During my long tenure at American Innovations, first as a Marketing Communications Manager then as a Corporate Marketing Manager, I led all Marketing efforts, from branding (and rebranding after several acquisitions), content planning and creation (print, email, and web) to competitive research and market intelligence. I managed a team of marketing professionals and the budget. I guided all online lead generation efforts and maintained the website and marketing automation platform.
My team executed 40 events yearly - from a User Group for all customers, training, and industry tradeshows.
Williams Marketing is an advertising agency focused on providing branding for small businesses across the U.S. As a copywriter, I penned radio, TV and print ads for a variety of products, including jewelry, furniture, food and cars.
Music Journalist
I've spent many late nights reviewing shows and interviewing bands, loving and hating new releases, and gaining a new appreciation for unknown and well-known artists. This has strengthened my storytelling skills, ability to adapt messaging to varied audiences and build strong relationships.

I've written for local and national publications including The Riverfton Times, Austin-American Statesman, Venus Zine, Thunderhouse Media Group and more.
